Photographed along the shoreline during sunset, this session felt peaceful, intimate, and effortlessly timeless from beginning to end. The beach gave us the dreamiest backdrop with soft waves, warm sand, and the kind of light that makes every moment feel a little more emotional.


One of my favorite things about this session was how natural everything felt. There was no rushing, no pressure — just the two of them soaking in this season together. Whether they were walking hand-in-hand along the water, embracing quietly as the sun dipped lower, or simply pausing to feel baby kicks between photos, every image reflected such genuine connection and excitement for the little life they’re about to welcome.


The styling for this session complemented the coastal atmosphere perfectly. Soft neutrals, relaxed textures, flowing fabrics, and barefoot walks in the sand created such an organic and timeless feel throughout the gallery.

What made this maternity session especially unique was that they also chose to add on one of my film-inspired editing options to a selection of their images. Alongside their full professionally edited digital gallery, they received a curated set of images transformed with a nostalgic film aesthetic — soft grain, muted tones, dreamy highlights, and that imperfectly perfect feeling that makes film photography so special.


The film-inspired edits added such a beautiful layer of storytelling to their session. These images felt emotional in a completely different way — almost like memories frozen in time. There’s something about film-inspired imagery that feels deeply nostalgic and personal.


I love offering this add-on because it gives clients the opportunity to experience two artistic styles within one gallery: the clean, timeless digital edits they know and love, alongside a softer, more sentimental film-inspired collection that feels straight out of a memory.
