The Haymakers - Awaiting Baby Josie
how it all began
On December 11, 2020 I received a wedding inquiry from Felicia about her and Austin's wedding for January 2022. I could tell right from the initial email that she trusted me and was going to be wonderful to work with. We scheduled their complimentary engagement session for February 2021 and my gut instinct about her was spot on! I LOVED THEM! They were so chill, fun, and completely trusted all of my ideas. This made me even more excited to photograph their wedding.
FUN FACT: I found out I was pregnant FOUR days after her inquiry with me. My son was about to be 6 months old by the time their wedding came around. Goes to show that a lot can happen in a year! Which brings me to my next and main part of this blog post.
Fast forward to their wedding on January 14th, 2022. It was filled with a lot of beautiful people who loved these two greatly!
Remember how I said a lot can happen in a year? Well later that summer I see a PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENT post on Felicia's Instagram account. I was so excited for them! Not going to lie, I was SO hopeful that they would reach out to me again to give me the honor to document this next milestone in their lives.. AND THEY DID!

We started to head back to the car to get her next outfit after I already told them I was "done" (don't believe us when we say that or "one more". 90% of the time we get another idea LOL) and I just stopped them right here and they made the cuteness happen.

When I saw how long the dress was in person I was SO excited! It just makes everything look more magical! We ended up going back to the pink flowers because it was just the vibe and that orange glow topped it off perfectly!
It was a great session, yet again, and I am so grateful for clients like Austin and Felicia who trust me and continue to ask me to document such important moments in their lives. It is never taken lightly! I can't wait to meet baby Josie earth-side. She has amazing parents.
