Maternity sessions are truly making their way up to the top of my list of favorite kind of sessions to photograph.
Hannah inquired with me about a beach maternity session and the beach that I suggested was Sunset Beach here in St. Pete. She said it was one of their favorite beaches so that was a done and done situation. Based on the interaction I had with her via email, I knew very quickly we were going to get along so well.
We decided to do a morning session because:
- Less people. Pretty much no one.
- Beautiful morning light.
- Living in Florida, the mornings are the most bearable most days out of the year.
The morning of our session was COLD! Florida cold, but still WAY too cold for the beach considering I knew one of her outfits was showing all belly. I felt so so bad when I walked out of my house that morning. I even went back inside to grab a big warm blanket because I knew they would need it to warm up in between photos (I snagged a few pics of them snuggling in the blanket to remember how cold it truly was, LOL).

Peep the blanket photos.

The next outfit though...
As much as I was loving the images I was capturing, in my head I knew that when she changed into her next outfit the creativity was going to start flowing! And it did! Not to mention she was GLOWING. Her boyfriend, Alex, was also so sweet and kind. We had a lot of fun and I am so happy with these images of this beautiful couple.

Sometimes I get a random idea for a spot and I ask that you trust me.
I am pretty open with all my clients about me trying out spots or angles and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I had her sit on a half-wall that truly didn't look like much but what I saw through my lens was so good. I mean she is incredible!

They were so amazing enduring the cold and we had one last spot to go to for a few more shots.
One of my favorite parts about Sunset Beach is the boardwalk they have. It adds a change of scenery to the gallery.

Now it's the waiting game of baby girls arrival.
I can't wait to see a photo of that sweet little face when she makes her appearance earth side! Super excited for these two.
