Sunset, Sand, and Sweet Connections at Redington Shores
There’s something extra special about photographing a family that already feels like part of your own story—and this one definitely does. Their son and my son have been best buds since babyhood. So whenever they asked me to capture their family session at Redington Shores, I was all in.
From the moment we hit the sand, I knew it was going to be one of those magical evenings. The weather? Perfect. The breeze? Just enough to give everyone that effortless beachy-hair look. And this family? So relaxed and easygoing. They let me take the reins creatively, trusting every direction I gave—and the results totally show it.
We wandered along the shoreline, let the kids chase waves, and paused for those candid in-between moments that always end up being everyone’s favorites. What stood out the most, though, was their connection. Every laugh, every hand squeeze, every quiet glance—it all felt so natural and full of love. And I could see it translating into each image as I clicked away.
It’s families like this one that remind me why I love what I do. There’s beauty in the chaos, calm in the in-between, and joy in simply being together. And I’m so honored to help preserve that joy through my lens.
