a beautiful family in their beautiful home

It was a beautiful Saturday morning when I drove to Tampa to photograph this beautiful family. Their neighborhood was filled with charming homes and big, beautiful trees that hung over the street. There was so much character to each home and as I pulled up to theirs, I was so excited.

The front of their home was perfectly manicured with greenery and plants. The red brick porch and pillars, along with the black front door, made it look like it was straight out of a magazine. I knew right then that that's where we were going to start our session before the sun got too high.

After we spent some time outside, we made our way in the house. As if I wasn't already obsessed with their home just from the outside, the inside was decorated so intentionally and continued to impress me. Veronica's eye for design and making her home cozy, yet aesthetic, is unmatched. You can tell they put a lot of work into their home to make it theirs.

As I always try to do, I let the little ones take the lead trying to get posed shots when I could and candids in between. Let's just say, it was pretty much a dance party the whole time, and grandma got a work out in behind the scenes to make some of the shots happen.

I wanted to change up the location of the home so I asked if we could use their master bedroom for some more family shots and the lighting was a DREAM! Not to mention, their cat came out from hiding and we were able to get some fun family portraits with their furry family member. It couldn't have been more perfect!

Towards the end of our session, Veronica's mom asked if we were going to be doing any photos in their newest baby girls' nursery. When I asked if I could take a look my jaw dropped. I MEAN LOOK AT THIS NURSERY! Every detail so perfectly tied together.

I love doing home sessions, especially when you have little ones. You are at the comfort of your own home and your littles don't have to warm up to being in a location that they've never been before.

As you can see, baby girl was tuckered out and ready for her nap and mom didn't have to worry about having to drive home.. she was already there.

This home sessions will be one of my favorites, for sure!
