For this child, we have prayed.

Parenthood is a journey that no one can really explain or put into words. Baby Noah has been prayed about long before Julia and Simeon were even born. Simeon's mom is a wonderful woman of God that has been praying for her children and her future grandchildren for many years. Since Julia became pregnant, Noah has been prayed over and for by many, many people that already love him so much, including me. During Julia's baby shower, her mother-in-law shared her story and the focus passage was Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a hope and a future." I didn't find it a coincidence that that is the same passage that Julia got tattooed on her when we were 18 year old roommates. It was another cool "God-wink" moment for me. This whole session was a full-circle moment and a testament to God's grace over us. Julia and I were roommates for a year after graduating high school. During that year, we went through some TOUGH stuff. We weren't close friends when we moved in together but the sisterhood that was formed by the end of our time as roommates is why we can go months without seeing each other and pick up right where we left off now. So with all of that said, the fact that I was given the opportunity to document the beauty and result of Simeon and Julia's love for each other leaves my heart and soul full. I can't wait for our boys to meet and do life together!

If you haven't noticed by now, Sunset Beach at Treasure Island, Saint Petersburg is one of my top favorite beaches to photograph at. The mornings there are always stunning and that gold light that comes through the trees on the boardwalk is magic!

GLOWING MAMA

We went back to the beach for a few last minute experimental photos in harsh lighting and getting Julia in the water a little more. I was not disappointed!
